Kiwi Woman Fails to Claim $2.1 Million Prize in Australian Lottery

Media release; Kiwi Woman Fails to Claim $2.1 Million Prize in Australian Lottery – a Reporoa woman has won a multi-million dollar prize.

Christmas will come early for one lucky Reporoa woman who has won an NZD$2.1 million waterfront mansion on Australia’s Gold Coast – that’s if she claims her prize!
The designer residence was the grand prize in the Returned & Services League (RSL) Art Union competition. The RSL is a charitable organisation established by the Queensland RSL to raise funds for returned service men, women and their families.
The RSL Art Union General Manager Luke Traini says despite numerous attempts, the RSL has been unable to contact the prize winner to inform her of her good fortune.
“We have tried and tried by phone but we can’t contact the lucky lady to tell her,” says Traini.
Her multi-million dollar home is located at the Hope Island Residential Resort, a luxury retreat twenty minutes north of the beaches of Surfers Paradise and surrounded by sub-tropical rainforests.
The winner, when she eventually claims her prize, will also take home more than NZD $50,000 in gold bullion for purchasing a NZD $25 raffle book.
Traini says it’s great to see a Kiwi win the extraordinary prize given the strong and united history the two countries share.
“This win is a celebration of the ANZAC spirit and shows that even today it’s alive and well. We think it’s fantastic that our RSL Art Union has been supported by New Zealanders and by many people living around the world,” he says.
Ironically, the second prize winner was also a Kiwi, says Traini and they’ve already claimed their prize of NZD $12,713.
More details of the prizes won can be found at www.rslartunion.com.au
