Domino’s opens it’s 85th store in New Zealand’s Queenstown, giving the tourist town 20 news jobs.

Scott Bush, new Domino's GM.Auckland28/8/13Queenstown’s very first Domino’s outlet will make a grand entrance as it creates 20 new jobs for the community.

The General Manager for Domino’s New Zealand, Scott Bush, says he’s thrilled the new outlet will provide Queenstown’s tourist population with further employment opportunities.

“It’s exciting that we are now able to offer the high volume of international travellers visiting Queenstown not only with their favourite pizza, but also with 20 new jobs so they can earn extra cash to fund their trip,” he says.

The country’s 85th Domino’s outlet will also be a welcome source of employment for locals, says Bush.

“We are happy to have the chance to boost the local economy and provide new jobs for the community. The new store will also play well into the dynamic nature of the area, where all preferences can be met,” he says.

The Queenstown store will have Domino’s new ‘Entice’ image, which each of the company’s pre-established 84 outlets receive on their seventh anniversary.

Bush says the store’s new design responds to customers’ request for the food preparation process to be more interactive in-store.

The new design includes a food preparation bench which is in view of the customer, and a dough room which is located closer to the front of the store where possible.

There will also be a lowered portion of the counter; to cater to disabled people and children, a live TV monitor to track each customer’s order, and the addition of a local historic image at the turn of the last century, to personalise each store.

Additional features of the store refurbishments include new customer foyers, using a mix of materials from stone counter tops to timber panelling finishes on the walls and seating areas where possible.

Domino’s has refurbished 23 of its stores with this new design to date.

It is projected the new centrally-located Queenstown store will open on October 14.
