Domino’s heats up Pizza market with launch of new Peri Peri range

Over the past six months in the Domino’s test kitchen, a team of developers have been creating a new and exciting range of Peri Peri pizzas. The range which include four exciting flavours – Chicken, Beef, Wedge and Vege and Feta is sure to live up to expectations and the hype around the Peri Peri phenomenon.

Peri-Peri-Pizza-New-ProductPeri Peri has been a popular flavour for some time with Kiwis so it’s only fitting that New Zealand’s favourite pizza delivery company launch a new and exciting range of Peri Peri pizzas to the menu.

The new range has been perfected over the past six months in the Domino’s test kitchen with Group Head Development Chef Stefaan Codron confident it will live up to expectations and the hype around the Peri Peri phenomenon.

“At Domino’s we don’t do things by halves and so it was important for us to respond to the demand and launch a Peri Peri range that was special and unique and that paid homage to the popular taste,” Stefaan said.

The Peri Peri range will include four new pizzas – Chicken, Beef, Wedge and Vege and Feta.

“Peri Peri is a massive food trend that originated from South America and has been extremely popular for the past couple of years. In fact, this whole style of cuisine has been a growing trend for some time now, so we wanted to jump on it as it’s not going away any time soon.

“We don’t think of this range as a short term promotion, we hope to have it as a staple menu product at Domino’s for a long time. It fits in perfectly with the rest of our pizzas, while offering something a little bit different for our customers.

The range also boasts the new Domino’s Chicken breast product which is more succulent, moist and tender than the previous chicken breast.

Head Chef Stefaan says that what makes the Peri Peri range truly superior is the sauce.

“It has beautiful bursts of freshness, and hints of chilli and it’s what makes these pizzas so special. It’s all about the Peri Peri sauce.

“I am so excited about it I can’t wait for customers to try it and see how they react to it.  We know our customers will love it as much as we do!”

The Peri Peri range will be priced from $8.99 and be available from stores on Monday 3 February.
