Scott BushA leading pizza company has appointed a new General Manager in New Zealand.

Scott Bush will join the Kiwi Domino’s pizza team from the position of state corporate operations manager for the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory markets in Australia.

Under this tenure Bush helped grow sales and improve profits through exceptional customer service in a number of Domino’s pizza stores across the Tasman.

Bush says he is thrilled to have the opportunity to lend his expertise to the Kiwi arm of the business in the coming weeks.

“I am extremely excited to join the NZ team and to help build on their previous success in the Kiwi pizza industry,” he says.

“My focus on driving growth of the Domino’s brand remains based on strong customer service, which has always been a fundamental principle of our company,” he says.

Domino’s Group CEO, Don Meij, says Bush will bring a wealth of experience to Domino’s in NZ.

“Scott’s hands-on attitude to growing sales and improving profits through customer service will ensure he leads the great team we already have in NZ to continue to be number one in the Kiwi pizza industry,” he says.

Bush’s passion for good customer service has seen him make an impressive impact on the business with his talent for leadership recognised early on.

Starting his career as a pizza delivery driver in 2003, at Domino’s pizza Bondi Junction, Bush was promoted to store manager within just two months.

Under his leadership the store increased its average sales by more than 50% per week.

Following this early success he was then promoted to a franchise consulting role, where he immediately set about opening two new stores in Mt Gambier and Mildura within 12 months.  Along with increasing the average weekly sales of these stores, he also purchased four stores in his hometown of Canberra.

Over the next four years, Bush grew the stores’ profitability, earning himself Domino’s Big Red Award for the Best Multi-Unit Franchisee twice.

Since 2011, he has owned and co-owned 18 stores in total.

Bush will move with his wife and family to Auckland to take up his new position on September 1.
