Kiwi actress announced as new local face of Pantene

Former Shortland Street actress Shavaughn Ruakere is the latest Kiwi ambassador for Pantene, the brand that helped launch the career of Rachel Hunter in the early ‘90s.
Stunning television star Shavaughn Ruakere has partnered with the World’s #1 Hair Care Brand Pantene in New Zealand.
The former Shortland Street actress is the latest Kiwi ambassador for Pantene, the brand that helped launch the career of Rachel Hunter in the early ‘90s. The supermodel was cast in a television advertisement that featured the famous catchphrase, “It won’t happen overnight…but it will happen”.
For Ruakere, who first found fame on iconic children’s television show What Now, becoming the face of Pantene is an honour. “I grew up with Pantene, love it, and always trust it to take good care of my hair,” she says. “I’m so excited to be representing such an innovative brand with a new formulation that makes it even better than before.”
Now it is Ruakere’s silky and shiny hair that has the starring role as she promotes Pantene’s new and changed formulation, which contains revolutionary technology Keratin Damage Blockers to help defend hair against irreversible oxidative damage.
“Working as an actress can be tough on my hair with constant styling, so the new formula in Pantene to help prevent damage is really important to me,” says Ruakere. “It helps my hair stay shiny, clean and lightweight despite the amount of product and heat styling I put it through. After one wash, I can feel the difference!”
